It's not the Dyneema stretching, it's your knot shifting as it tightens up under load.downunder wrote:Hey guys,
I've got the Dynabar and replaced Dyneema. Now I am experiencing Dyneema stretching OR my Bowline knot is not good ( http://www.animatedknots.com/bowline).
Can someone advice is the rope really stretching, do I need to buy a pre-stretched (?) or which knot to use?
Thanks

That stretch will happen. Just undo 1 of the knots and shorten the line. Not sure what the ideal knot to use is. I just use a figure eight knot. Also found the thinner Dyneema wears so much less. (Included a pic). Just make sure to periodically check the little plastic flange that protects the rope in the hole.downunder wrote:Hey guys,
