Cabrinha clamcleat bar

Postby huge » Thu Sep 10, 2015 9:10 am

Hi,

I am changing quiver for 2016 sb and wondering if I should opt for the new clamcleat bar. I do not dislike the 2015 recoil bar but I like the simplicity of clamcleat.

Comments would be appreciated from anyone who used to ride the old recoil bar and who switched to the new clamcleat for 2016. Thanx

I have been using the fixed length 1X with Trim Lite system bar since early August and it works very well. The cleat is very easy to use.Easy to reach. The bar is noticeably lighter than the Recoil version and it makes winding your easier without the spring.
As posted, there is a recall on the bar to replace the Trim Line to prevent premature breaking. Your Cabrinha dealer will be able to provide more info.

The video on how to replace the line if it has a white end.

How is the trim length in comparison to a recoil bar? More/less/same?

I like them a lot but cam cleats wear out so make sure you have a spare handy. During a session, it will slip and if you don't immediately replace, it will be next to useless the next 1-2 sessions you have.
