Yes we all hate getting tangled up in our leashes every time we spin and flip.... but I don't like running after my kite either...

So who's got some real great ideas on some radicial saftey depowering ideas that have a chance of working....

Heaps of great ideas have been posted so far but there must be some others??....

I was thinking along the lines of making the remaining 3 lines longer as opposed to "shortening" one of the lines.

A system where by pulling a cord 3 of the 4 lines are detached and the kite is pulled flat by the ramaining line... this way you could saftey or depower the kite while still hooked in.....

If you use the kiteshoppro bar, you will still be hooked in, and you don't have a leash.
If you detach 3 lines, you are bound to get tangles...

If you want a description & photo's of my bar mail me at huw.williams@nordiko.com & I will attach it to the return.

It allows hands free spinning & does not weaken the bar by putting holes in it.

The kiteshop bar looks good, but I would not be comfortable getting a knot to slide through a hole in the bar reliably. I also prefer the adjustment on the center lines - keeps it all even.

If you detach your lines the tangling would be huge - & how are you going to relaunch again???

I think advanced riders normally do their spins, then do spins the other way, then you have no tangles even with a safety! So backloop then front loop!! or backloop transition then frontloop... simple - it's just most people can't do both, like me - once you can do both ways, in both directions you don't need to worry again!!!

Sorta similar to what you do when looping with the C Quad.... but you don't have to do a front loop after a backloop....

why......???? Because you can spin the kite on it's axis, real easy.

Using the C Quad bar you can spin the bar as normal after a spin but as the C Quad doesn't need a saftey leash you get no tangles.....
