Tell me, is that really a whistle on the chest strap clip thingy?
How do you use this? I can't make a bloody sound with it

Just checked Ozone site. Last week I got a free diet coke from Burger King and this week I get a free backpack:
"The Access V6 is available as a Kite Only option that comes with the lightweight Kompressor Bag, or Kite Complete with the Contact-Snow Control System and easy to use Backpack. We recommend adding the Kompressor Bag to the kite complete option to have your kite packed and secured as small as possible."
Kite is 4m so no need to compress.
I hear that some kite shops in America are refusing to stock kite only. Isn't that wrong?

That whistle is compliant with the new Ptarmigan Anti-Ruffling Legislation. Congress has adopted new regulations intended to reduce feather ruffling of Ptarmigan populations common to many of the sickest alpine snowkite zones. Ozone, industry leader, were way ahead of this. (The whistle on my 2012 pack didn't work either).
Seriously though, I love my Ozone backpack for backcountry snowkiting. It's really comfortable, just the right size, and makes sense. I just wish the Frenzy that came inside the pack performed as well as the bag.
It would really be awesome if Ozone and others would tweak the design to allow use of the pack as a touring or backup harness like the FS Peak. We've hacked packs before on outings when one of use had a breakage or a mental slip and had to make due.

Now, Matt, I can't attest for your Frenzy's performance, but my Frenzys have been superb! Model year's '11 - '16 have been flying strong for me and I could not ask for more in a mountain kite. Of course, I'm biased.

Noah, sorry to diss the 'zone. Obviously, you guys make those things do incredible things. Probably tube kiter pilot error here. After years of trying I still can't seem to get the hang of eeking performance out of a foil to match most of the inflatables I've used in terms of gust stability, jump height, steering input for tricks. But they sure are easier for subzero days.

Matt,
Foils do fly differently than tube kites. The Frenzy is specifically turned for snowkiting. I have tried one on the water and it just feels weird. Personally, I would rather fly a Chrono, it is more performance-oriented than the Frenzy IMHO. Better yet, give me the Flysurfer Sonic. Plus, the nice thing about a closed-cell foil is that you can use it year round.

God those whistles, useless. The don't whistle. Which I guess makes them WSO. (whistle shaped objects.
