I was also looking around in the UK but decided as well to go abroad, how is Hurghada and how can I get there easiest, from LGW?

Any good schools around there?

I hear Tarifa can be a bit hairy for beginners and too many kiters on the water? Anyone knows?

have a look at http://www.kiteschools.com
there you will find many schools around the globe.
If you are looking to go to Egypt, try Magawish, there is the kite-center http://www.colonawatersports.com

You could try Jon at XT-Sea (hon@xt-sea.com) He's based on Shoreham Beach.

Best to contact Sportif, the flight is a charter so all seats are probably pre-sold.
