I've had this kite for 3 weeks now, and have used it in winds from 8 to 14 knots. I kite in a choppy sea, weigh 83kg and ride with the bar out against the stop (ie. No depower). Been kiting for almost 3yrs and only ever-owned Naish kites
Wind Range
Not sure yet what my exact usable wind range is but I guess that it is something like 9 to 16 knots using different size boards. Recently I have been nicely powered up using a Skypirate 5’8â€

Steve -
How would you compare the 20 to the 16? They would seem to me to be pretty close... I was hoping to get away with a V4 16m as my biggest kite, but be able to go (or stay) upwind in 10-12 knots.

From 10 upwards the V4 16 is okay, but you need 12 knots to be nicely powered. We get lots of 7 - 10 knot days so a 20 is a must here.

Hi Blownaway
From 8/9 knots I use a 2002 naish Skypirate direction 5'8" (+-175cm) directional.
Have had the following kites.
15.5 AR5
19.5 & 11.5 ARX
14 Aero
8, 14, 20 X2
14 & 20 X3
I have used a friends Aero1 20 and the V4 20 is much faster and much more powerful.
