What Board for Big Air

I am not expert at all but I suppose the best board will be the most "squared" and smallest size board possible for you, having in mind that edging is the most important.
The board which can make the most upwind speed will be the one of the best to jump high.
The same about the kite. More it goes upwind, higher it will bring you.
High rocker is good for landings but not good for going sharp upwind.

the whole idea of "edging"is to point your board in the opposite direction of the kites pull. in my opinion, it's easier to point a surfboard at a higher rate of speed in this direction.That's why you don't have to edge with a surf board. The fins do the "edging"

Xenon Laluz 138 this is my love edging like crazy and soft enough for comfort riding. But Seriously ,I had been testing many boards and Laluz is what I choose and so far I am very happy about it. For my skills (experienced but far from pro- my biggest air for me so far is 9,5 m) this board is perfect for me.

Just a thought, we need a poll - Put down board type & highest WOO boost, there will be variables, but there could be a winner !

What you need first for big air is the skills of knowing how to jump and work the kite.
Then you need a kite that will take you to the moon and keep you there.
And then your board will be your last resort.

So if you are looking for a board then the best size will be (135x41cm) with some concave and a little of rocker. This size will be perfect for (15 to 25 mph).
Now if the wind is around (25 to 40 mph) then you will need a small board so you can edge better (129x39cm).
Also make sure the boards are light and strong.

Consider an Axis Limited from prior year. If youa re fat, get the 2016 now that 2017 is out - they reinforced the center in 2016 which was abit flexy for heavyweights. Aside from that, that is one of the best boards of all time I ever demoed. Genuinely impressed me. Also showed me how Carbon can help a board. Strangely, I was not a fan of the Vanguard - whcih is the identical board in just wood. The Carbon really shines here. Shame I didnt have a gajillion dollars at the time but should be on clearance now.

The limited I got which is a 2015 is the single best board I have ever ridden and I have ridden a few. I do jump higher on this board as I can hold power with the board to get a better ping off the water.

When this one dies I will be buying another. No questions.
