I have a Cabrinha bar and as some would know they have a real long chicken loop so when the bar is let out its almost full arms length.
I have shortened the loop by about 3 inches and its way better to ride now.
The last couple of sessions have been better with less pain so that may have been the problem.

You will find any problems with tennis elbow will disappear if you ride in the power loop or lock your bar off with whatever your bar uses eg Powerlock, North mini loop, cleat etc. We've found that tennis elbow gets bad if you ride in the trim loop at lot, especially if you jump in it. All that pressure gets transferred through your elbows: Lock the bar off in the power loop and all you use your arms for is steering.

You will also find a front-line biased kite like the X3 is a lot easier on your elbows than a more back-line oriented kite like the V4.

You can also try wearing a small strap just below the joint.I get this problem occasionally and wearing the strap helps a lot.It normally happens when I'm ridint underpowered and have to work the kte.Don't let it get to the chronic stage cos that can be difficult to get rid of.If it does get bad,see a physio and they'll be able to help. The straps are sold in most chemists,at least, they are in the U.K,hope this helps, cheers,Andy.

i had the same problem over the summer... it hurt so bad i couldn't sleep... the solution for me was to get a kite with less bar pressure.

Anybody ever wonder why well all have tennis elbow now? Kites turn better and use shorter bars. When we had long bars and stiff turning kites, we didn't have tennis elbow. Nobody had tennis elbow riding the AR5. Now we all have tennis elbow. Sucks. Just had my second cordizone shot in the elbow. I'm using shorter chicken loops to avoid it. Still doesn't help. I didn't do the exersise routine the doctor told me to do. Maybe I'll do it this time. Maybe we all need 32" bars again.

I usae glucosamine sulfate--4ea 1000mg caps per day. my chronic elbow pain of 6 years showed improvement after 6 weeks. Now i'm totally pain free. I don't even wear the strap anymore which was a big help too.

Dwight- you probably kite more, do more moves, rely more on your forarms, do less other sports etc! read the other post i linked to
