So I got mine.

First impressions of the main differences.

The mast is MUCH heavier, it's certainly solid carbon and has a lot more surface area than the Spotz2;

The front and rear wings are higher aspect and have a better finish compared to the Spots2;

The Shark is 800g heavier when compared to the Spotz2, this will surely be down to more material in the mast and foil.

The profile is a lot flatter which falls in with most other race foils these days;

The mast is a lot wider at the top, by the tuttle;

Overall, the foil is a LOT stiffer, as in it's like night and day when compared to the Spotz2. The mast is a total weapon now and feels totally solid.

I hope to go out this afternoon so will feedback later today! I know my stats on the Spotz2 so will know if I am going any faster or higher upwind or deeper downwind.

The wind totally screwed me so I didn't have much time at all on the foil.

What I have worked out is;

1. tacking is easier than the Spotz 2- the shark seems to glide easier which I guess is down to the more glider-esq wing.
2. the foil is very stiff
3. no noise when riding though I didn't have a chance to really go off the wind.
4. very stable and it tracks very well.

I need to try it for much longer to really work it out.

So, I have used the foil twice more now...

Upwind when compared to the Spotz2 (s2) it's about 5-8 degrees higher.

off the wind I have not worked it out yet. I can't seem to get over 25 knots but I am not pushing it yet.

It is certainly more stable at lower speeds but once up to a real lick it seems to be a little off. I need to play about with the rear wing. Spotz told me to put the most negative angle on it which I think is wrong. I have changed it to have more level angle and it was better but I still think it can be better.

Tacking..OMG!! so easy... really easy.

I've heard the same thing from someone else that got one. He said roll stability is a problem :-?
