Nobody says that Bandits are bad kites. In my experience, B6 was the most solid and enjoyable kite I owned (back then), albeit - after testing some other brand's models I came to a conclusion that Bandit's flying characteristics suit a lot better lighter riders (I'm fairly certain that 110-150lbs riders like it a lot more than 200lbs+ ones). That happened right around when B8 have came out, still without any really-needed updates or novelties - so I went shopping elsewhere.
I may not understand a lot about marketing, but releasing somewhat of a milestone model - the X - which marks 10 years of this particular model - would have been a good opportunity to introduce much needed improvements. Guess not.
F-One's marketing department has decided to to the usual:
-slap up some new colors
-make up bullsh@t stories about hundreds of prototypes
-make flashy videos in epic locations
It is a good idea in general, but with this brand in particular - it might be a good time to start questioning things before spending your $$$ on it.
Though if riders have been chewing on bullocks for so long - one might argue that riders are perfectly ok with being fed bullocks to begin with.
