Guys, What you do not see clearly on the picture is that the left side has red embossed into the grip.
It is actually very clear to see the red in real life, but here is a better pic:
The color scheme has not really changed it was always Red (Left) and Blue (right).
The previous bar actually did not have different color floats. Now there is a great differentiation with one blue and one black floater.
So actually the new bar is way safer and intuitive than the last generation

Safer does not mean nicer looking.

"Looks" is not what everyone is loosing their minds about in this thread.

The dominant color should be on the left and should be red or orange. I think what people are saying about the new layout is they see blue first and it's on the right. In essence the rider needs to reprogram his/her brain, dominant color = blue, that needs to be in my right hand.
Obviously it should be dominant color = red/orange = left hand. The reprogramming is no problem when standing around in a shop but in a split second decision making situation it's an unnecessary layer of information to sort through.

I would argue that the dominant color here is black.

The colour that you "look" at is the issues. Hence it's looks matter.

It has to be red-green as historically colors are coming from sailing. None of those colors are used on this bar here. Plus some people have difficulty to separate blue and black colors. Specially men, about 10% of us has bigger or smaller problems with color recognition
At my work one time I have let designer to choose too much how product is done- and paid the price later. Ozone probably just did it on their side.

The bar has red embossing and the leaders are red. It is pretty obvious.
