The Perfect Quiver

Hey! Lost my old username so this is my first post.

Interested to see what quiver people are going with these days?

Most of the guys at my local are running 1 or 2 kite max, and any more than that is a luxury.

I've been running with Ozone C4 9/12m for 5 years and often find I'm missing a sweet spot in the middle like a 10m and summer days could do with a 14m on the occasion. Very rarely is it too windy for my 9m unless it is a storm session.
I'm 80kgs freestyle / wakestyle wanna be, winds range from 15-35kts, good days are 25kts.

There is nothing wrong with my 2012 C4s so I think I'll keep them for a while and expand the quiver gradually.

I'm thinking for the next setup will either 8/10/12m (keeping my current 12m) or 7/9/11/14m, both some sort of combination of C4s and Enduros.

Both setups sound fine, though obviously, the second has much bigger range. However, I think you're better of talking to other locals, not asking on a worldwide forum.

I love the 2m between each kite setup. (5-6old) 8-10-12-14-16 is my main quiver. Mix of Eleveight FS and RS

I´ve been using C4 a long time 7m and 11m, this year I changed to enduro 7m and c4 v6 10m (and edges!)

No gap with these two and they complement perfectly.

Wants your board size? Boots?

I ride one kite and one board.
Perfect! Never have to think which kite to use.
My range goes from 15-27 knots.
If less or more I happily watch others.

Glad to hear you like the Enduro.

Moved to a Tona Pop 138 with boots last season which really works much better with that type of kite. Instant confidence but after taking a few hits I've been off to a slow start this season.

I see. Well, 35 knots on an eight, generally, is pushing it. I'd go for 7 as my smallest kite.

I weigh 74 kg and cover from 9 knots all the way up to 50 knots with:

11m North Neo / 8m North Neo / 5.3, 4.7 and smaller windsurfing sails. In smaller sizes the steps between the windsurfing sails become smaller. I would be surprised if in kiting this is not the case, say 2m steps from 8 to 6 for example.

That's correct Vela. Generally speaking, from 7 or 8 and upwards 2 meters gap is fine, and from 11 or 12 even three, and for the kites smaller than 7 a one meter gap is best.

Your kite quiver is influenced by your board quiver as well.

I believe Peter Franken has a very extensive explanation on this subject, but I don't remember the name of the thread.
