I used to have franks and they get very very soft. It didn't take long till the salt and beach destroyed them.
Lasted me a season at best and probably a more experience rider even less.

I haven't tried the Slingshot rads so I can't comment on them but I assume they are built better for the ocean. I used to have some older SS and they were pretty heavy to be honest. Make sure you check on that because this was one reason why I went to the Ronix boots.

It's quite personal thing I guess.
Haven't tried Ronix.
RAD's are good enough for me. Very nice hardware system which allows the board to flex more.
The gummy straps is very clever idea too.
Having narrow feet I'm able to tighten the boots as much I want, without the hassle of extra laces.
When it's gusty I don't bother tighten the boots on the beach, just get my feet in, and I'm doing it in the water. Very useful in rocky beaches either.
Yes they are built to last, and yes, heavier than one of my friends Ronix Franks. He did like them at first but after 2mo he changed them for O'BRIEN (can't remember the model).

Slipping your feet into the Ronix Frank is like having baby bunny rabbits hug your feet. The Slingshot RAD feel like bricks after the Frank.

1.You tried the RAD? You are talking from your experience?
2. Frank is known about his comfy but not so durable as i see. Do you think there is another brand that comfy like Ronix but more dirable?
Thank you!
