Wheeler Wonder?

Whats the deal with these wings? They look flat. Whats the secret sauce?

I think he was making aftermarket wings for the LF foil. Now Liquid force is making his design as the LF thruster.

Flat isn't bad. Curved wings have better yaw and roll stability. It also allows you to roll more before breaching surface. Flat wings don't ventilate as severely when the wingtip breeches the surface.

That's what I've heard though from people who (seem to) know what they're talking about. I agree, roll stability from curved wings doesn't make intuitive sense to me but others seem convinced.

What do you think?

I watched the sales pitch for this foil and one of the features was that you should be able to breach most of the wing before it ventilates, the "point of ventillation" (or whatever) is almost in the very centre of the wing.

thought that was interesting, as no part of my foil can get anywhere near the surface before i go flying off :lol:
