Fear not is right. Pete already went into the crunch zone at Jaws. Now we can sit back with some brews and check it out on the big screen. No waverunners needed! Is Andre going to be in town?

and a closeup, I just noticed what I think is a large smile. The stoke of prime shredding can do that.

Checkout the full sized shots at: CLICK HERE!

See you folks at the premier tomorrow night!

Set me straight on this. Has anyone seen a photo of someone kiteboarding a larger wave than this before? I know that a lot of guys have been doing it in Maui and in other parts of the world for a while. Still, most of the waves although huge by Florida standards that I have seen photos of in the past seemed to be a bit smaller than the one shown at:

http://www.fksa.org/viewtopic.php?t=259 ... highlight=

I also wonder just how reliable and tricky the wind can be going through these monster wave zones. I notice dirty, disturbed air causing wind lulls going through minor breaker zones with waves a fraction as high around here. I imagine the air turbulence thrown off by these massive swells and breaking waves can be flung off over hundreds of feet away (say 10 to 1, for a 70 footer that would mean turbulence going off 700 ft. or more away).

Rick,

He jettisons his kite after catching the wave,
Kite is only taking the place of a jet -ski while
towing in.

I hope the opportunity comes up to ask Pete about that at the premier tonight. I assumed that he held on to the kite. Most of the other smaller waves that I have seen on video the guys kept their kites. I think they also generally slide back along the face and out the backside. It looks like Pete is sliding well inside on this one and is going for the full ride.
