There are always men willing to talk about their kite, board, harness, shorts etc etc etc. But I'm wondering what the girls are using and finding fun / comfortable / which sizes. My girlfriend is learning and we are now looking for kites for her. Any of the female riders out there, could you post what you use. Thanks. Oh she's about 60kgs if that helps.

I use the same kites guys use... only smaller
7m Vegas, 130 Lab Rat (which is a great board, but I'd like a 126 Thorn, or a small North Jaime).
I also have a 9m OR Bronco, 9m Slingshot, and a Naish 12m Boxer. I'd like to replace these with another Vegas... although they're all good kites.

I have seen 2 girls here with Waroo 9. Both seem very pleased since it gives them the full wind range + very safety.

My girl uses a LF Spectrum II 6m, SS Diesel 9m, and a SS fuel 11m with a 134 LF board.

I have:
Kites
Bow:
a (PINK) 9m Waroo, Can hold from 10 knots-about 22 knots
just got a 5m Waroo for those extra windy days in Brazil, haven't tried it yet.
C:
2005 6m and 8m North Vegas.
Extremely durable and still in awesome shape after a serious season.
(Copy that on sharing kites, my hubby and I are always a couple sizes apart. If I'm on my 5, he'll be on my 9... If I'm on my 8, he's on a 12) With the Bow kites, you can get away with like a 9 and 14 and a smaller kite and that will complete a quiver)
Boards:
Aggression 128 x 39 custom board by GS. LOVE the size and it's really the best board for flat, chop, waves etc I also have a Jimmy Lewis 125 but I only really like it in butter flat
Harness:
North XS Styler. I started on the Dakine Fusion Seat Harness, but switched and have had ZERO problems with the North harness even though it's unisex. Never rides up, awesome fit, doesn't come loose etc.
Impact Vest:
I have the Cabrinha vest in Size S for women... Fits great under the harness.
My stuff is really great and I would recommend all of it!

Hey that's right...just ask the girls. Actually, my boyfriend and I share this accunt on kiteforum, but yeah, there are girls who are part of this forum too.
I am 120 lbs. and ride all waroo's. My boyfriend (165lbs) and I share a 9M, 12M, 14M and recently an 11M pro. It works perfectly because I am always on 1 kite size smaller than he is for the wind speed.
For learning, I would highly reccomend the waroos or similar style kite ..I learned on "C" kites and feel I could have learned much faster and with less stress with a SLE kite. A big wide board really helps too.
I also found for learning a seat harness is very important for a women and went through a lot of pain before I got one. Because your girlfriend is going to spend a good amount of time in the water without a board at first and that can cause serious rib/chest pain....we girls don't have the same muscles as you boys.
