Review for
Gaastra Max2 2008 12.0 Times tested: 11+
Range: 15kn to 25kn
Good: + Quality (all kind of reinforcements) this kite looks really "bulletproof"
+ depower -> then you loose the bar (or let it go) the kite is almost 100% depowered
+ really soft but powerfull charactereistics in all kind of unhooked stuff
+ nice hangtime (hooked in stuff)
+ very nice to ride - smooth/relaxed riding
+ very fast turning (when needed/wanted!)
+ 5th line in a Y, very predictable on the water, and in the relaunch
+ very easy relaunch (good for me ;-) cause i need this very often...)
+ nice design ;-)
Bad: - bar design (same as the jekyll one) i dont like it!
- bar size (is not the "one size fits all - like jekyll) but i´ll just use the short version
- adjuster is not that nice (it is ok for, cause i dont use it every minute, but there can be a nicer solution)
Review: After my Max1 i´m happy again with he next generation.
I would suggest, give it a try. This is for sure not the most extreme freestyle kite, but it is good for learning and getting forward in your trick level...
