Hi everyone,

We are stoked to announce that one of our major sponsors of our event, Proven Energy will supply us with a portable wind turbine. The Turbine will produce enough renewable energy to support the power needs of the Ozone Snowkite Masters event during the day which includes our music, tents and heaters. Due to the effects of global warming and rising emissions we are seeing less snow and are proud to find a sponsor that offers ‘green’ energy solutions. This is a new step forward in powering outdoor events that uses the earths most natural resource - wind.

The Proven Energy wind turbines are designed to produce renewable energy in low or high winds and robust enough to with stand extreme temperatures. The reliable small scale wind turbines are designed with few components and no gear box to keep noise and maintenance levels low. Suitable for a variety of sectors and applications including ski lifts, Proven Energy has close to 2000 international installations. Dependant on grants on offer, payback for the wind turbines can be a little as 3 years.

The Patented Proven Wind Turbines are the leading brand in this sector with their turbines used at homes, oil rigs, on top of mobile phone communication towers and many other places around the globe.

If you ever think about saving money and doing your part to be greener check out the Proven Wind Turbine site because there’s nothing to stop you having one to power your own home.

We have photo-shopped the Proven Wind Turbine onto a photo we have from the spot, this will be the main event site with an enlarged parking area and the tent village with DJ Jaggae cranking out the tunes thanks to the power delivered from Proven.

We are all looking forward to a green event with lots of powder and look forward to teaching the team from Proven how to snowkite.

More information can be found at http://www.provenenergy.com or by calling +44 (0) 1560 486 470.

See you soon..
OSKM Team

From your photos it looks like there isn't a whole lot of snow at the Bernina Pass. Guess we got all your snow in the western US, we have been seeing a storm every week since the beginning of December in Utah. If all that snow (400"+ in 2 months) is due to global warming, I say bring it on!

Hi to all the riders,

Time is passing by quickly and we can’t wait to kick off the 2nd edition of the OSKM on March 1st, 2008 at Berninapass. The organizers have just decided that all the entry fees from the riders for the OSKM (20 Euro each comp – 50 Euro for all 3 comps) will be paid out as prize money for the 3 best riders in each category.

We will separate riders into Juniors, Men, Women and then into Ski and Snowboard.

The overall winner of all events will be the OzoneSnowkiteMaster 2008! So get your tickets and acommodations booked and see you at Bernina for one week of fun!

Cheers OSKM Team

Hi everyone,

Not long anymore!

We have some bad news for the ones that have not booked in the hotel already – it is booked out. That means +100 beds only peeps for the OSKM! From now on we can all it the HOUSE OF PARTY!

Good News: We organized a second house where you can stay check out http://www.costa-ag.ch/Skihaus%20Allg.%20Info.htm

It’s not a hotel but a house where the builders from the Costa company are staying during the summer. In winter it’s open to anyone. It’s very cool there as well and they serve breakfast and dinner. All inclusive for 40 Euro/ night / person. If you want to book some of the last rooms please contact dominik@flyozone.com asap.

We are all starting to get exiting and see you there next week

Cheers Team OSKM

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update on the event. We have been busy building the event side the past days with some killer kickers and rails that Chasta has giving his special touch!

The BBQ is set up and the wind turbine from Proven Energy is arriving tomorrow supplying our event with green energy. The Party Lounge in the Hospiz is ready, people are starting to arrive every day and we are getting exited for the kick off. For sure it is worth turning up even if you can make it only for the weekend. Send me an email to dominik@flyozone.com and I get you a bed/room in our 2nd Hotel we have booked for the overflow.

We are really stoked with the response from everyone
Looking forward to meet you all and to a great fun event. Check out the gallery and the video of the past days set-up

Cheers Dom and all the OSKM Team here at Bernina

Proven Wind Turbine set up

February 29, 2008

Hi everyone,

we had an interesting day setting up the http://www.provenenergy.co.uk wind turbine at the spot. The truck with all parts and bits arrived this morning, 2 tons of it!!

It took us only about 4h to set up and in only 8 knots of wind it was producing green energy ready to power DJ jaggae on the spot.

The first riders arrived and had a little blast around our freestyle park while Chasta was already far away up in the mountains exploring some new spots around the Berninapass.

We have strong winds forecast for tomorrow and we hope it won’t be too strong so we can kick off the event with the first competition in freestyle.
