right Peter, it is about grabs, one foots, boardoffs, transitions, funny moves. Normally high and long, but also some low stuff (like Jesus Walk).
All hooked and all for fun.

Toby are you sure you need board offs to draw a crowd? **YAWN** :remybussi:

p.s. I think the various version of Jesus walk are the SHITZ.. like in the latest F1 movie... Uber cool! Can someone teach me how to do that?

What sort of crowd are you talking about?

Girls? They have goosebumps when they see old school Toby style. Isn't that the crowd riders should please first?

The general public? Whether composed of riders or non-riders, it doesn't care much about the boring monkey stuff **YAWN** - unhooked handle pass after handle pass ending with anything but smooth landings -.
The other chimps are the only ones to appreciate (as a crowd) because they feel the belong to the closed club of those who can do hard tricks to execute, which hardly means it's interesting to watch.
Primates riders could do their new school stuff just as well hanging from a tree, it would be just as cool.
Go eat your banana, sarc :baby: .

Alex

PS: it would be interesting to poll the general public (not the kiteforum lot) asking what they'd like to watch if they had the choice...

PS: the problem with "Old School" is probably the name. Kids and chimps can't help making an unfortunate association.

@Toby. Chasta is one of the great natural ones. As good on the water as in his mountains.

Wow seeing Chasta in the water would be interesting... saw some unreal videos in the snow...

p.s. Toby great idea to have an invitational old school event... I'll be sure to watch the video!

p.p.s.s If Old school is what old guys used to do and new school is what the 19 year old trick freaks do today, then what do we call what Lou Wainman was doing back 10 years ago? Lou school?

I somewhat knew that would be the killer argument to get the young chimps reconsider what's hot :hotchic: .
