Got the chance to try these two boards back to back today.

I've used the 5'11 a few sessions now but not had the chance to try the 5'7" because my fiance keeps running off with it!! :x
Anyway we both had a bit of a swap around today and man I'm impressed with the both of them!

For those regular sloppy conditions we get here the 5'7 will be the board to have for sure and then for those classic down the line and slightly chunkier days I'll be sticking with the 5'11 :D

Small wave sessions here:

Hello "windsuks",
What is the lowest wind you have been on these REEF Surf Boards? I see you have been using the RENEGADE 11 and RENEGADE 13. What was the wind speed that day? Also have you had the chance to try the INFINITY v1 or v2 in the waves in 6 to 10 knots? If not you should try it.

Great video by the way :thumb:

The winds were all over the place that day, when we arrived on the beach everyone was packing up as it had dropped off so much.
We'd driven a fair distance and we'd had no wind for a few weeks (plus I was keen to try the 5'7") so we thought we'd get kitted up and give it a go.

The 13m Renegade LTD is such a fast smooth kite it got me going staright away, I dont know what the wind speeds were to be honest but you can see it was pretty low. The wind was pretty much cross shore which often ends up with long walks back up the beach when this light but that didnt happen this day! :thumb:
It's not only the power of the 13m but the way it handles, for the past three years I have not used bigger than a 9m kite...mainly because of wave riding but also I have always found anything bigger I simply didnt enjoy. Now however I'll happily use either the 11m or the 13m Renegade's.

You can see also in the vid that they are real quick and also easy to down loop whilst on the wave which I tend to do every so often when it's cross shore, it's not just a big old slow tractor it's still fun! :jump:

It picked up whilst we were out so I then jumped on the 11m Renegade for the rest of the session even though eventually it was very strong and should have been on a 9m or even smaller.

The big surprise for me was the 5'7 ATV, I've owned a few Fish style boards in the past and although I liked them in the light winds I found them a bit harder work from rail to rail in carve turns etc

This 5'7" ATV is so much fun and it also seems to pop easily off the top of the wave..just wants to get air. When the wind picked up I thought it would struggle to hold an edge as well as the 5'11 but it was still fine.

The biggest problem I found with it....my fiance also loved it and stole it for much of the session!!
She was on a 9m Renegade the whole session but then she does weigh about the same as my right leg! :o

Whaooo...so I guess you like the boards :thumb:

The only problem is that we almost sold out of the REEF boards. All we have left is (5) REEF 5'11" and I think (1) REEF 5'7".
But we have been working on the REEF V2 Surf boards. Should have few prototypes in by beginning of March.
:o
