I had the occasion to try the Infinity in LW condition on the water for a first time yesterday. Wind was between 7-15 knots. The kite have a lot of pull but be warned that the depower is on the very low side... I mean at 14 knots I was way overpowered!! To me this is a negative point and should be taken in note to assure a secure ride. If you have LW where you kite and the wind is constant, then this is a very very good and powerful kite. But if like me you are kiting on a spot that rarely see constant wind then it's certainly not the best. But for heavy rider above 200lbs that is the most powerful kite I have tried so far.

Now I want to give some impressions on the Oxygen board. I have three session on it now. In few words.... I simply love it!!! This board is extremely light at 8,45lbs for the complete board. And it felt light under your feet while riding. The board is really small at 135cm only but is 47cm wide so it offer a very good LW performance. Some much bigger "door" style board will maybe get you going 1 knots earlier but with this Oxygen board you can still enjoy your ride at 18-20 knots and it is a lively board, so easy to go toe side to heelside and jump really well. I was just trying the board that we will use to teach this summer but now I'm done, I just sold my Plasma nd will get this Oxygen board. The board is also beautiful, very thin rail, nice comfortable pad. And it will be much easier to travel with it. Now I want to try the Droid...might sell my Trax!

Will there be Chicken Loops available for sale for those that have 2010 or 2011 Epic bars, and want to enjoy the benefits of the new and improved system? If so, please sign me up for two..... and maybe a couple more for for the other brand bars that I have with chicken loops that could use improving. :)

Hello Mr.Oldnbroken,
Yes the new EPIC Chicken Loop will be able to work on the 2010 and 2011 Epic XTEND bars. Will be selling the new Chicken Loop separately as a complete set so you can retrofit your old system.

The Racer looks a lot like a higher aspect version of the 3G S10 LTD kite.
That S10 LTD (4G?) in the pic has only two canopy panels between the middle strut and the next strut and only two more panels between it and the next strut, ... a bit different than the 3G!! My 3G S10 has three panels and three panels then you go to the squared off end piece. Hmmmmmmm...

Very nice remark Mr.Oldnbroken,
Yes the prototype SCREAMER 10 LTD (4G) has a higher aspect then the SCREAMER 10 LTD (3G) that we have now. Once again this is a prototype and still testing it so we won't have it ready until I am 100% happy with this new S10 LTD (4G). So far we have 2 prototypes versions of the S10 LTD (4G). This one is the (v1) SCREAMER 10 LTD (4G). Will be testing the (v2) soon.

P.S. I rather show you these pictures now of the S10 ltd (4G) then having some one else, so you know what's going on.
Again these are prototypes and it doesn't mean will be using it. We are just testing them to see if we can make something even better then the S10 LTD (3G) that we have.

We have been getting some more awesome feedback from some local riders here recently, these are from some local guys.
First two are by experienced freestyle/surf riders and IKO senior instructors

Had a great session this afternoon on a 9m Epic Renegade. Surprised) Fast kite, plenty of power and light on the bar. Loved it! The kite flew really nice and I always knew where it was without having to actually look at it. The relaunch was super quick and easy (in quite big swell amd waves) and riding down the wave was smooth with the kite just sat there infront waiting for your input. Not sure what the wind speed was, but Ian was initially underpowered on his 10m Ltd Screamer while I was fully depowered on the trim on the Renegade for the whole session, which makes me inclined to think that it could happily handle a lot less wind. Jumping was fun with plenty of loft and the descent was nice and smooth Surprised) Managed a few frontloop kiteloops which were tentative a first, but needn't have been because I felt right at home.

and more...

Well, I flew 3 different kites today 10m Screamer LTD, 9m Screamer and the 9m Renegade. Unfortunately, for the first couple of hours the wind was marginal (for the size) so there was some grass cut...... All three were quick around the window, the 9m Screamer was quickest, and when the odd gust came through, they all jumped well enough, and were all easy enough to loop out. The Renegade felt nice and grunty, drifted nicely on the waves and jumped well (not unlike a Catalyst but with more grunt!).

Then, just as I lost a fin off the Kipuna and considered calling it a day due to fatigue, the wind picked up a couple of knots, just enough to put the 10m LTD just into it’s zone. GOING UP!!!! Elevator time! Sarah claims it was the highest she has ever seen me go, and thought I must have been bricking it, but it felt great from where I was!! Got a ‘whoop’ of approval from another kiter with a high rotation, and the ‘pop’ out of my darkslides was sweet! Backloop-kiteloops had a good kick to them but didn’t feel too scary......

Over-all impressed with all three kites, especially the LTD, but I did spend most time on it. Deffo worth a look if you are in the market for a new weapon. Have checked wind stats and today’s session started at about 13kts and picked up to about 22kts, the 10m still had plenty left to go!!

He bought a 10m LTD

We also had a guy try his new 5 & 9m Renegades he just purchased that day from us (he is pretty light)...

awesome session at rest bay yesterday on my new Epic kite, can't believe I was on a 5 while most others were on 12's, can't wait to try the 9 when I am back down west, thanks to the Blast crew for their personal touch in sorting out my new kite quiver, hope to impress the crew down west with these new exciting toys
