I got in a great session yesterday on my Infinity V1. Wind was supposed to be better but ended up around 12 gusting to 18 with lulls down below 10. Its really hard to find a good kite that works in these fluky winds but my V1 saved the day. I've been using it with a bar that gives me much more throw than the stock bar. Seems to be working out better and gives me a bit more range on the kite which is nice in the gusts.

I was riding from 5-7.

Whaooo Mr.schuler that is a lot of wind for the INFINITY v1. How much you weigh if I may ask and what board were you using?
I am happy you had a great session.

I know its a bit more wind than the V1 is made for but we have to rig for the lulls in our winds.

I'm 175lbs and was on my Spleene Session (141cm)

Thanks for the info Mr. schuler. Do you know what size lines you were using? Because if you want more power on the kite and you are using 20 or 22 or 24 meter lines, you should try to get 5 meter extension to add it to your lines and this will give you even more power. The INFINITY v2 comes with an extra set of 5 meter lines in the bag.

This video is about different kiters demoing the INFINITY V2 light wind kite and the OXYGEN Twin Tip light wind board in light wind conditions.
Once again, if you get a chance, do not hesitate to demo them and you will understand why we can't keep them on the shelves more then 12 days.

This is the review the "SBC magazine" did on the SCREAMER (3G) kites.
http://www.sbckiteboard.com/2012-kite-r ... ws_id=1878

Quote:
Author: SBC Kiteboard / Shane Thompson

Size tested: 12, LTD 10 m
Sizes available: 7, 9, LTD 10, 14 m
Design style: 4-line, 5-strut SLE

The Screamer 3G is the third evolution of Epic’s four-line, high-powered freestyle SLE kite. It gives advanced-level riders an adrenalin-pumping experience with its high-powered, big-boosting character. The Screamer is not for the faint of heart, as de-power is minimized, and big boost and glide optimized; it had some of the biggest gliding boosts of any kite in the test. Fully powered through the sweeping turns, testers got vertically yarded with this kite through the loop. The power could be shut off more abruptly than most freestyle kites, which was helpful in certain situations. The Screamer had direct feedback so it was always known where the kite was in the sky. Thankfully, if you did have to bail out, thinking you should have landed already, the Epic Screamer was one of the best of the group for quick and easy water relaunch.

WHAT THE SBC TEST TEAM RIDERS ARE SAYING

“Good relaunch, high-performance jumper that rides like Dimitri. Less de-power than the Epic Renegade.”
“If you like going big and soaring around to catch the bird’s eye view of the beach, this kite lets you soar like an eagle chasing a plover.”

On/off Power
When the bar is sheeted-out abruptly, the heavy power can dump rather quickly, which takes some time to adjust to.

Tech Features
-Simple and strong bridle
-Bridle deflectors on strut tips
-Ribbed carbon Tuff Scruff pads

Yes, for a number of years I rode North, my first kite was a Toro. Now I have a quiver of RPM's. I ride these kites because the quality and design is comparable to North but now, due to my friend selling the kites I get a better deal on the SS rather than paying near full price on a North. I dare say that if I knew someone who could get me Epic kites at somewhere around dealer prices I'd fly them.
As for you paying extra to ride an Epic kite, I can't say I actually believe it, but for the sake of argument please could you tell me what brand you switched from.

So, since your post (60 days ago) you have changed to SS RPM kites. Great!
You bought them instead of your kite of choice (North) because you have a dealer friend selling you Slingshot kites cheap? OK, I am getting the picture now.
And you say if you got a deal on Epic kites, you would fly Epic?
So, I must assume if your buddy was an Epic dealer and not a Slingshot dealer, the KevintheHater persona would not exist. Wow!...that's really shitty of you.
Please enlighten us that do not understand your behavior.
As far as my past kites, I have owned Liquid Force, Flexifoil, Advance, Mosquito, Ozone, Windwing, Slingshot, Blade, Switch, Eclipse, Ocean Rodeo, Peter Lynn and Wainman. Out of politeness to my former "affiliations" I will not say what brand I was flying when I demoed the Epic kites and found them to be more fun. I liked the Blade Triggers and Wainman Rabbits best of the past kites I've owned, but the Epic kites jump better for me than Rabbits and fly more stable when sheeted out. The Epic Screamers and Renegades have much better pull through the turns than my Triggers and the jumps are bigger, especially on the Screamers.
So yes Kevin, I was willing to pay a bit more.

I am no hater. I think you'll find that I gave the Screamer an honest review, something you'll find hard to read on this thread. If I was a hater I'd blow that kite out of the water in terms of a review, I like to think I was honest in my appraisal, it's not the best kite on the market as claimed, the quality is average not 10/10 as claimed, the bar is well below a decent standard and if I owned and flew them then I'd say the same thing because I'm not stuck 8 inches up Dimitri's arse.

If these "reviews" carry on then I'll put my views where they belong, in the Epic thread after demo ing an Epic kite and I'll do the same on the inevitable 80 page thread on the 4G or whatever the name of the new line is.

In terms of my new kites, I'd prefer to have stuck with North, I liked my bar a lot better but in today's financial climate price is the key, you must have a lot of expendable cash to spend on an inferior (assuming you were coming from one of the popular established kite manufactures) kite.

Good day to you.
