This is from the Beaufort scale definition:

BN 3 signifies winds of eight to 12 mph. This is a gentle breeze, creating small whitecaps on the ocean water. The wind is now strong enough to extend flags.

And this from the Office Of Naval Research:

Beaufort 3 7-10kts Gentle Breeze Large wavelets, crests begin to break and whitecaps are scattered whitecaps.

Spot on 12-13 white caps, any good 14 some 12s will get you wave riding in this wind range.Tony

Wow, that is what the Beaufort scale says, but just doesn't seem right. I've never seen a whitecap at 8 knots, maybe at the top of that range, 10 knots, you could see a whitecap or two, but even that's tough to believe.

I guess it depends on location? Either that or I've been riding in a lot less wind than I thought

Remember they START at 8kts . When they are hard to see or just barely there it's prob 8 or just over or under. If numerous WCs refer to the rest of the B-scale. Reliable and somewhat objective description of wind strength- since 1805 no less:

So the average people can START having fun at 9.5 knots is really what you mean

YOU enjoy working the kite up and down in 7-8kn to generate momentum

The average person can't do that effectively....or does not enjoy doing that

With all do respect Mr.SupaEZ, what I am saying is that in order to enjoy and have fun it has to be blowing at least between 6 to 9 maybe 10 knots. If it's blowing 4 to 6 knots you won't be able to go on your board, you might be able to plane on the snow, but not on the water if it is bellow 7 knots. But for sure you will be able to fly the kite in the air because it is such a light kite that it won't drop from the sky like most of the light wind kites in the market. Usually it doesn't blow just 7, or 8 or 10 knots constantly, the wind plays from an average of 2 to 4 knots between each other. This is the reason why we have these ranges: "Low/Average/High."
The SBC KITEBOARDING magazine could not believe in how such light wind they could fly the INFINITY v2 kite when they had to take a picture of all the kites in the air for their review pictures. The only kite that was able to fly in 5 knots was the INFINITY v2. This is what the editor of the magazine told me 2 months ago.
Any way this is the INFINITY v2 in 3 to 5 knots on the dunes.

P.S. Don't forget to check the new issue of the SBC Kiteboarding magazine and see what they have to say about the INFINITY v2 kite.

Btw- sining the V2 has minimal effect from my experience so when I say going in min 8kts that's parked. Some kites need sauce. The Epics seem to make their own.

But don't take my word for it- try the V2 in 8-10kts and make up your own mind.
Unless you weigh 400 lbs and/or riding a toothpick I'll bet you lunch that you are riding comfortably and maybe- just maybe- having fun.

This is why I am doing so many demos and I am willing to send them world wide so people can test them because the kite talk for itself once you get your hands on and get a chance to get on the water. Once you try it you will be very impressed. But again you need to be less then 400 lbs or else you will need more wind to have fun.


P.S. Once again we sold out of them and should get more in 8 days.
