IN BREAKING NEWS FROM THE NRC:
Quote:
Hi Dave
The hearings and deliberations committee that met on 16th May has
resolved to recommend to the full council that the proposed changes on
the speed rule (both 50m and 200m rules) are deleted - in other words,
that the status quo remains and that both the existing exemptions for
board sports continue to remain in the new bylaw without change.
The committee has further resolved to recommend that a code of conduct
for kiteboarding is developed with input from kiteboarding interests for
publication in council's annual boating publication.
The next step is for the full council to consider the committee's
recommendations - this is expected at the council meeting on 19th June.
We will also be publishing further updates on our website this week.
Please let me know if you would like more information.

The upshot is guys - WE CAN KEEP KITING! No silly rules about where and when, just be sensible and have fun!
I like to thank all of those that took the time to put in a submission - the quiet word in the NRC were impressed with the quality of our submissions, we put forward valid points - unlike those apposed to us.
Cheers
