I can't imagine F-one will not replace the bar even if the warrenty year has passed. Why hasn't F-one commented on this topic yet? Come on, it's been a week. This is pretty bad for your brand.

Update - I received a new bar in the mail today. Thanks Mat. The Australian distributor has been great sorting this out. I'll replace this one and then when the other bars arrive I'll get them sorted out.
BTW - I did get a response back from F-One directly. They suggested that I contact M8kite which I had done. The email was a little disappointing in that they don't seem to be taking ownership of the issue and basically put in back on the distributors to deal with.
I'll let you know if anything further transpires.

If you have a problem with your Toyota do you contact Toyota at Japan or your local Toyota dealer ?

If Toyota becomes aware of a safety issue on one of its vehicles who issues the recall?
The issue for the mean time has been dealt with by the dealer and I have had contact with F-One so there is no immediate problem. The topic was posted to find out if there was a similar problem with other B4 kites, which from the feedback, there certainly seems to be.
Collectively as Kiters we are now better informed and are aware of the issue.

Yeah, I will never understand the need to throw comments like eldadgold's one...if you don't have anything to add just don't I'm facing the same issue on my bar and F-one has confirmed they will replace my bar in a couple of weeks, without asking to fill any warranty form.

Here in Israel we havn't encountered this problem yet and it hope we won't. Fone is probably the top selling brand here and it's not only because the gear is great but also because the service and costumer care are very good.

Dr cool, so you went and found this 6 month old post and bumped it up for what reason exactly ?
I had a Bandit 4 and my bar was replaced. As far as I know Fone issued a recall for certain batches of bars. The local dealer called me to come over and replace the bar.

I talked to a local F-one rider the other day that had not heard of the recall, but had just found his bar falling apart. If you know anyone with a bandit 4, then at least bring it up to them so they take a close look at their bar.

Looks like its more common then most might think. I have 2 F-One bars from 2011 I bought them with my Bandit4s 7 and 14m and on both bars I see corrosion. On the bar I m using with my 14 [ most used kite for me ] rubber lining is pealing off with small specks of metal. On the bar, i am using with 7m its not so bed but I use it like once every 3 months. Now I am in process of checking if F-one UK dealer [tkcsales.co.uk ] will replace them.
