That is tough for me to say (what you would be giving up). I never rode the V2 Sector 52 and I barely remember the V1 52. As far as locked in, I think they are pretty close. Nothing like locked in on a race board though. Why not keep your fins and put those on the new 54 as they have 5 fin boxes and are all mini Tuttle? My first instinct is to say that you wouldn't be giving up anything as the boards have just gotten better and better, but I can't guarantee that. I too liked the little boosts I could do on the boards... [attachment=0]v2 jump.jpg] - Stafford www.adventurekiteboarding.com

I just read the Kiteworld test on the 54 and the 60. Fair play to them for getting their head round these things, the test does them proud. It's a full page, and even at the end they complain that they "have run out of space". here are some exerts.. Quote: "It's just a dream in lightwinds.. The upwind and downwid reaches are so fast, and unlike out and out raceboards, the downwind reaches are surprisingly untechnical and the board doesn't keep rocking about, trying to throw you off."
"These boards represent the future. How can se sum up the 54 and 60? We love the 60. Lots of people have shied away from buying a raceboard because they become obsolete pretty quickly. You can buy the 60 knowing that its going to be as fun in a couple of years as it is now and turning up to race you're not going to be let down by your gear. It's smooth but not so smooth that you cant feel anything but it doesn't pound your knees either. The low wind performance mixed with the relative ease of use compared to full on raceboards is increadible. We went out on the 15m dyno and the 60 and left windsurfers on their battleships and enormous sails for dust. They couldn't believe how we were going so fast. The 60 is a rocket ship. 54 faster and better than a surfboard in light winds with 4 fins for any comps."
"Seriously, they are more technical to ride than a light wind twin tip, and you do have to commit to a slight change in technique, but we promise that the skills needed to ride these are well within your reach." In the UK these boards will dry up soon.. we have limited stock for the rest of the year, I can imagine the same happening elsewhere. For me they are the best thing since the de-power kite (assuming you like de-power kites!!) lol

Hi all ! I ordered the 54 + race fins setup end of april, I received the board end of may but the dutch importer situated in the northern part of the Netherlands said no fins before september... Is it the same everywhere ? The board is great in carving but I think it will be more stable straight line half wind with the 4 race fins (like the 60). Enjoy the summer ! Pat

Got my 54, na na na na na naaaa. Agree with mike birt, they have totally changed my paradigm on kiting in general, and kite type and size selection. They will I think have huge impact on your entire quiver design once you get on one. Wow.

Based in Singapore when winds are light most day 6 to 10 kts..Gotten my 54 3 weeks ago..increased my water times at least 2 to 3 times since..went go out with 12M Lithium at 6 to 10 kts of wind and still had a great time jibing and carving..once it is about 9 to 10 kts I can start doing some tricks like forward rolls...I am light at around 59kg..just wondering what would it be like if I have a 66???YES finally plane earlier than a formula board on 11M...

nose and tail look like they heed some cushioning when you put in and out of the car. what kind of board bags do you use for sectors for every day use? i think wave board bag does not fit.

Airush makes bags for the boards. I find the standard Sector 60 bag quite snug with foot straps on. Plus, I can't zip it up with the fins on. For the 54, I've got a big Airush surfboard bag that I can zip up with the carve fins on. For the 66, there is a Monaro bag that works. But no way to zip it with fins on. - Droffats www.adventurekiteboarding.com

FYI - I currently have a Sector V3 60 & a V2 60 in stock at www.24-7boardsports.com. We are based near Southampton UK but we ship internationally if required. We can also remove the UK VAT (20%) for exports going outside the EU. Aloha Dan 24/7
