Guys you should check this stuff out (and I should charge the owners for advertising):
http://www.pumpkiteup.comThey use a regular paintball tank with an adapter and supposedly one tanks is good enough to pump up a 10m kite 5 times. These can be re-filled at any paintball shop for 1-2$ with air, nitro or CO2 and the same adapter goes on scuba tanks.
Might be a viable alternative.
The volo seems a bit pricey, it is $250.
You can get a generic scuba tank - even a pony bottle if you want a small one and get a regulator - like the one I posted, for
much less than $250.
They also sell PB tanks with high pressure regulators for much less $100 range, you would still need to get a regulator, but they are typically under $60.
Here is a zeagle pony bottle for $53, plus about $25 for the regulator adapter and maybe $10 for a hose.

a regular scuba tank (80 is supposed to fill 12-15 9m kites or 8 or so 14m kites).
I think the smaller bottles are actually a good idea as you can carry them. The zeagle holds 30cf so about 6 9m kites or 4 14m kites
In texas we can drive on the beach so I will just leave the tank in the bed of the truck (I already own a scuba tank)
