I'm hoping to construct a new power generation device which needs a kite bladder.
check out
http://kitepowercoop.org for an idea of what I'm up to.
The thing is, I think and great need custom bladders, to inflate the ring.
So I should probably make my own.
Can you give me advice on the materials I need?
why you just dont buy 1,000 flexifoil super 10s attach them to a piston and generate power by sining the kites, my rough calculations suggest this setup would generate 50kilowatts in 15 mph wind.
The great attraction of this setup is you could throw it in the back of your pickup truck, launch and get power anywhere. The detraction is this would cost over a quarter million dollars in kites, lol for that price it would be cheaper to fly in gasoline by pigeon, but hey get that government subsidy, and a proof of concept, patent the kite piston.
Actually maybe if you had a minipiston that you could hook up to a regular traction kite you could sell that to campers as a way to generate power away from civilization, just set up your tent for the night, attach a kite to the piston and let it run all night sining back and forth, in the morning the batteries for your go pro are all charged up, a good supplement for solar cells.
rodread I think maybe I have heard about your project by the way. Are you in michigan?
