Hi!
Did somebody used Airush Varial X 12M? Did you make any setting befor using with kite or bar, or you used it "out of bag"?

It's pretty much plug and play - that said it is quite a technical kite to fly compared to a thick foiled delta, unless it's very windy..
I'm guessing you tried it in light winds, and you find it's flying backwards....?
It's a very flat kite and works on higher air speeds. You need to either use it in higher winds where you can't really stall it.. or, if you are using it in light winds you have to keep your style fast and flowing.. Move the kite to create apparent wind and then make sure your board speed does not decay.
It's power, much like a turbo charged car, starts when the rev's rise.. It's no diesel grunt monster, you can't just stand there in light winds and sheet it in.. or you'll stall it out.
but then you may have a completely different issue.. pm me if you want more technical advice.. I use a few of these kites and rate them highly, but you need to learn how to get the most from them if you have not flown anything like this before....

I flew the 12m Varial X in 15 kts of wind and loved it. Although Mike Birt's comments may be valid in really light winds, there was absolutely no backstalling tendency at 15 kts of wind. I was quite impressed with how well it flew both hooked in and unhooked, and I thought it was a super easy kite to fly although it does like to be moved around a bit to generate power. The Varial X seems to be getting a rep as a kite for advanced kiters, but I thought it was quite user friendly. I dropped the kite twice doing unhooked moves and it relaunched fine in the winds I described by simply pulling on an outside line. Maybe you wouldn't teach on it at a school, but any intermediate kiter that wants a kite to progress with is going to be stoked with this kite in my opinion.
I have nothing to do with Airush, I ride Cab SB's right now, but I am seriously considering switching to the Varial X.

I tried to use it in 14-16 knots but the power was to huge. It lift me up on 12 o'clock and control it's very difficult to control it even during landing. I used it with airush bar 2012. So, i thought i have some problem with settings...
I'm riding around 4 years so there is no matter of skills or wind (during this session it was a lot of 12 kites on the spot)

Dude, there's something wrong with the setup, there is no way that kite should be overpowering you at 14-16 knots, you are at the lower end of the 12m's Varial X's wind range in my opinion.

UDT:
The problem was with bridle. Today received new bridle. And I was not the first with this problem. If you have the same, talk to your dealer to recieve new kit.

Can somebody tell me what the hell a strope is?? Have flown a 10 m VX on a sector 54 at 80 kg and was cranking upwind in about 13 to 15 and staying just upwind in 11 to 13. If you fly it right, it actually has a great bottom end. Then again so does a sector 54, lol.
I agree I bought it as an advanced kite because that's is where I'm at, but it is actually a really easy kite to fly. However I can already tell there is a lot of different dimensions to this kite that will force me to improve my riding to get the best out of it. Can't wait to see this baby fly in 20 plus. The ability to position the kite in the window, for deep to extremely forward based on kite speed, trim and board edging is amazing. It truly gives you compete control. It does have grunt if you keep it deep, but it is smooth grunt if you know what I mean.
Yeh best craft I've flown in my 12 years without doubt. Then again so it the sector 54.
