What if on the race course there are patches of weeds that could cost you the race?

Has someone addressed that annoying problem?

Just wondering :D

I can't even imagine how it would be to hit weed at 30-35 mph. :o

Keep your speed up and a sharp leading edge and it should solve the problem of any obstacle.

Not sure I understand what you mean ?

Every decent racekiter here has at least one set of "weed" fins - in order to compete when it gets problematic with the straight ones.

Raked 30 or 45 degree backwards at the LE :naughty:

But they will NEVER be high performance, because of the sweep.
Although, made stiff and thin and with carbon of course, in order to be competitive :thumb:

They will win the race though, if the conditions are gnarly regarding sea weed 8)

And for freeriders the good weed fins are a must IMO, I ride more with these than without :D

The big problem is availability - really hard to find, as there are so many different box types - and also different sizes and profiles etc, so a nightmare for the brands to make, and with really little sale

:D Peter

Why are you looking for info on weed fins for raceboards when you do 0% racing?

Biggest troll on the forum, and that's saying something considering some of the posters on here these days..

I'd rather read marketing pimp than the sh1te you churn out.

And Toby - is there any way I can opt to block out the smilies? :D

Hey Goose ...do you feel the need for speed? (Top gun)

Listen i raced for many many many years on monohull Laser & other sailboats with daggerboards
Where i raced we had patches of weeds and you would have to constantly pull it up and clean it
The rudder was "OK" because it could be set at an angle & kept that way while sailing
But daggerboard because of straighter angle would catch constantly (not centerboard that pivot)
And yes it once cost me a race :D

Sooooooo that's why the interest.........
Relaxxxxxxxxxx and stop losing con "troll"
How can anyone learn if they do not ask questions ( even if they do not race anymore) :thumb:

Not as easy as with a Twin tip but ... a 3-foot jump + the gravity will do the job nicely - - :jump:
While in the air, you can optionaly add a foot shake.
