AAA-Kiteboarding News:

German secret project now open for public in Sri Lanka

After many requests by various representatives of the media, press, kite-industry and by teamriders, the project cant be a secret anymore...
The AAA-Kiteboarding company is a german project, existing in its formation since 1992, formerly in the branch of aerospace engineering and movie-creation.

Since 2011, after a long research of technologies, markets and perspectives, a new focus for the company was set - kites, improvements, new kite technology, bars and boards, connected with new materials and extensions, like never seen before.
Expect completly new designs of main kite-parts... new tube profiles, wingtips, airstream improvements and redesigned trailing edges...
The new testing area is located in the south of Sri Lanka, where you can find perfect conditions... steady winds blowing between 15-25 knots side-on every day, waist deep flat-water and big waves on the same spot, making the location ideal for any skill levels from very beginners to experts. The spot is far away from being crowded, because its a private beach! There is also an existing cooperation with the Sri Lankan Navy and Airforce to use the only 2km away huge Koggala Lake in order to kite there - expect absolutely flat water! Nobody else is allowed to use it, because it’s a restricted military zone, only customers of AAA-Kiteboarding are allowed to pass.
The perfect location for kite development and to advance in the new projects.
First products from AAA-Kiteboarding should be available in 2013/2014 on the international market.

Connected to the development and research project is a new IKO kite and surfschool, a private kite resort direct on the spot and a special travel part for kite- and surftrips to the best locations in Sri Lanka with unique possibilities and special offers, nobody else can provide - for low prices you wouldn't expect....

this was the response to the old topic, where we made a small change now ;-)
we think its a good idea to post it this time in advance :-)

hey hey calm down guys...! please dont get us wrong! we dont support nazi shit in any way or sth else in this direction of ideology... terrorism...

this picture with the german sign is about the project on the koggala lake, which is in fact a military zone! with barbed wire, keep out signs and guards... so the spot has a kind of military touch yes, but this is a special thing and this news is not about our school in the first way!
this spot is open for testing and up to a a point for riding now, which is a very good thing, isnt it?
so because its a military zone, we tried to give the advert a military touch...please dont take it too serious!

and the german sign on the kite...well... 2 of our team members are ex-german airforce pilots and we have like a personal connection to the german luftwaffe because of this...not more, not less! please not that this is te actual sign of the german airforce which has NOTHING todo with ww1 or ww2!
and please, dont hate our monkey, he is so nice :-) except you want to make fritz the chamelon sad :-(

hang loose guys, we just want to kite here - and you are all invited !

During the season from Mai to September, the whole westcoast gets nice winds. Kalpitiya has three different spots and schools so far.

BTW: On the website it reads "most beautiful private wide beaches". By law, its not possible to own beaches in Sri Lanka.

Cheers!
