EZ,

Would motor Oil help when inflating the Rebels??

I don't think putting Motor Oil anywhere near your kite is a great idea..... but a clean pump will usually make things easier IMHO
Uncsrew the top and clean out any sand and crud that's inside, also remove gasket debris on the metal shaft, (alcohol on a rag works well for this) ..... I then use olive oil (cold pressed of course!) as a lube on the inside of the pump.......

so after another weekend of kiting , i am using a slingshot pump to pump my north rebel , so 1. either the north valve is just too small in general(as i have heard others complain) or 2. the pointy pump tip i am using with the slingshot pump body (which i actually think is a hose+tip from my 2011 cabrinha pump) has a too small a hole

i don't have the multiple hose tips/adapters , will try a friend's one as recommended the next size up which should swallow the entire north inflation valve, allowing more air in ...

this weekend when i was pumping , when i reach a certain pressure , but not hard enough, the pump tip would just fly out under the force of me trying to add more air

you should be using the pump attachment that fits over the bladder inflation nozzle - not the pump attachment that fits inside the nozzle. If you do this it should be worlds easier.

spot on ! pumped fast and easy . wish i knew this years ago( or asked years ago)!
thanks!

wtf ! :desperado: DONT put oil in your kite!
