2012 Cabrinha Vector 12 or Switchblade 12 ?

Postby Facuriuem » Mon May 28, 2012 5:04 am

Hi,

Which one you guys suggest to buy 2012 Vector 12 or 2012 Switchblade 12 ? I have never tried Cabrinha Kites before! Here in my city the wind range goes from 10 to 20 knots in best season! My body weight is 158 lbs and I like freestyle and freeride :)

Tks

I would go with the Vector if I had to get a Cabrinha I flew them a little bit down in Costa Rica in Jan, I would check out Slingshot Rally or the Liquid Force Envy. I live in Florida and during the Summer we have nothing but light wind under 15mph on average and I'm still able to ride my Rally 12m & Envy 12m upwind on a Slingshot Misfit 136 & Glide.

But again I would go with the Vector vs the Switchblade the vector tends to relaunch a little better in the lighter wind.

The SB has a tad more power, and the vector is a bit more manoeuvrable.

Nico, what is the difference between the Vector and the SB on the high end? On the Cab website the Vector does not seem to have a lot of range, but I would like to hear from someone that has ridden both.

I principaly ride the drifter pretty much everytime I go out.
The details I put in earlier are my main impressions.
The vectors we use mainly for schooling purposes as this kite does everything OK.
The Sblades we use for rentals, as these are a bit higher quality with a bit more power.
Also all the vectors I have are SE (schooleditions) as these take a beating everyday of use, and are tough enough to keep a good resale value.
All round general use vector, and more power cruiser SBlade.
