Hey, for people interested in the new Street by Shinn, I found this review from a rider in MD-USA on the East KB forum. http://www.eastkb.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=40753#40753 - he's got some pics on that link but here is the post.

"I recently rode the Shinn Street at Dewey. Conditions were typical there for a W wind. Low chop, gusty, 12m weather.

I rode this board for abiot 40 minutes in wind that was on and off. When the wind was on, this board handled exactly like a board should.

It is free style board more than anything, but it is built to be a little more forgiving than some of the flat, wide, new school boards marketed these days. This means that it is comfortable to ride. I didn't have to get used to it- The board popped exactly like I wanted it to, and landings were nice and
soft.

The board reminds me of my Jaime, but it felt just a little bit softer on the landings and through chop, but it is not as soft as the Trax, which to me, is just a bit too flexy. The Street is also more beautifully built than either the Jamie or Trax, the finish on the shinn boards is probably the best in the industry, they have to be seen up close to be appreciated.

For those looking to get their bodies and boards airbourne even in our choppy chesapeake bay conditions, this is an ideal board. I know that the Shinn Monk enjoys a cult following, but I imagine this board will too.

The only aspect of this board I didn't enjoy are the footstraps. They are not contoured properly to create a secure connection to the board, and I missed having a toe grip to keep the board on my feet when I pop hard. I know that everyone's preference in pads/straps varies, but I would definitely upgrade them to something like LF luxuries, or 2010 or newer North's."

Hmmm, I really like the Shinn footstraps & pads. Comfy & good grip. :thumb:

Being a bespoke brand, I wish shinn would let us choose our own graphics on the boards. I love the top graphics for all of his boards, but can't get myself to like any of the bottom designs.

You don't see the bottom when you are riding ;-)

As i understood it, the Street is supplied without pads and straps so customers can tailor their board and not be forced into paying $150 extra on what they don't like or request.

As to the the guy wanting to design his own graphics on his boards, how would he propose the factory cater production for individual requests and keep costs down. If you know maybe you should start a factory and make all the money yourself. DOH !

There are companies out there that do successfully cater for individual requests and do make profits. Here is an example.... http://www.cardboarding.com/

I'm just voicing a wish that I have for the shinn board company. Don't get so defensive! I really like shinn boards, all I am saying is that I wish I could choose different graphics, it could be from a selection of shinn graphics, infact I would love to have the 2010 Shinn King George Graphics on the street. I love the duke board colours as well! I just don't like the bottom graphics of the other boards in the range

Hey, I wrote up my own review - http://mikecampanaro.com/2012/06/08/shinn-the-street-135x41-review/

Graphics are always a tough call. You can never create a graphic that is pleasing to everyone. Same with straps and pads. I can respect your opinions but I think there should be some kind of constructive criticism behind your comments so that someone can improve on their "likability" of their graphics. I.E, what don't you like and why?

Sorry, I went to art school

Understood, and you are right. Ok, a more constructive and positive opinion from me would be, that I love the top graphics on all of their boards. Bright, mature and classy. I would love to see similar styles mirrored on their bottom.
