Windsurfing has been canceled - for real in Rio 2016

Hi,

If you have been around for a while, you may remember the "Windsurfing has been canceled" stickers. I think the were made by Real Kiteboarding around 2004.

Now it's really happening. In the Rio olympics 2016, windsurfing has been canceled and replaced by kiteboarding.

I don't think that is the end of the world.

Windsurfing is no longer the most popular water board sport, but it is still epic to see what
some of the windsurfers are doing today. I don't think the Olympics were ever the pinnacle of windsurfing and won't be for kitesurfing..

Personally I far prefer seeing freeriders videos from around the world than some pompous Olympics
course race.

The best things I have seen are not competitive.
