Round One of 2012 Fantasy KSP Comes To A Close
Cascais, Portugal – June 12, 2012: The highly anticipated first event of the 2012 KSP season saw an overwhelming number of Fantasy KSP fans hedge their bets on the world’s best kitesurfers. However, non-contestable winds during the final days of the EDP Kite Surf Pro Cascais unfortunately forced the incompletion of the event. As a result, all male riders received equal points for 13th place and all female riders received equal points for 7th place.
Due to the equal point distribution, no Fantasy KSP winners can be determined for this first round. However, prizes will be carried over into the second event of the 2012 season, the One Eye Kite Surf Pro in Mauritius.
For round number two, Fantasy KSP fans will surely utilize insight gained by watching KSP riders’ performances in the first 2 rounds of the EDP Kite Surf Pro Cascais as well as last year’s One Eye Pro event to choose their winning teams wisely for the powerful, hollow waves of Mauritius.
While the Fantasy KSP round one has come to a close, the art auction cooperation between KSP and the Blue Marine Foundation remains open for two more days. As promoted during the live webcast of the EDP Kite Surf Pro Casacais, the painting “Azulejos Do Mar” by artist Sylvain Rata is up for grabs. The painting captures the grace and beauty of kitesurfing and the pristine beauty of Portugal’s Guincho Beach in Cascais. All proceeds from the sale of the painting go to benefit the Blue Marine foundation and bids can be made at http://www.charitybuzz.com/catalog_items/2987231 .
KSP would like to once again extend its considerable thanks to EDP and the City of Cascais as well as Best Kiteboarding and all other sponsors and supporters of the EDP Kite Surf Pro Cascais and looks forward to the successful realization of a repeat-event at Guincho in 2013.
