How the IKA could be useful

cut some deals with the airlines that if you show an IKA card at least one kiteboard is free to travel with.

It is a bit frustrating that skis/snowboards can be 126 inches and free, golf bags are huge and free, kiteboards larger than 62 dimensional inches cost $150.

Yes for sure it would be nice with a deal. But I guess the reason for the chages is, that surf equipment is more fragile than golf and skis. So they have more trouble and cost because of complaints with damage equipment - and guess who pays

Then IKA could give the airline companys a legal document that they could make the passenger sign dismissing the airline from all liability of damage to the equipment.

I would be fine with twin tips which are pretty much the same as wakeboards and snowboards.
