I dont agree.
I find directionals easier to ride - also what we all learned kitesurfing on back then.
Of course - changing direction is way more difficult - but does it really matter ?
One just fall backwards in the water and turn the board.
I've teached many on directionals - and they have found it easier to go because they can ride "naturally" instead of bending the rear leg a lot
You will actually "ride" without effort straight away - whereas many will skip and slide sideways on a TT the first many times.
A freerace board with small fins might work fine
Not sure about a freerace board, but a surfboard is easier than a TT IMO - so if for a bigger guy, a freerace might work awesome
