Regarding the bag.....

Are the two shoulder straps separate at the top?
When the two straps join to create a handle, it chafes the back of kiter's neck.
I cut the connection. Problem pretty much solved; the bag is tearing a little now at the strap attachment points. Note: this is 5 years old.

Just a little peeve since we hike a mile or so for some of the launches here.

Hi Dimitri,

Following this post with interest since surfing with a kite is the only kitesurfing I do.

1. No one-pump. Keep it simple and less changes there will be issues with the struts.
2. Keep it light. It's not rocket science. The lighter the kite, the better it stays in the air.
3. Make it powerful so we can use the smallest kite possible all the time.
4. Provide patches and glue-on valves standard with the kite, so we have it ready when we travel.
5. Bag without zippers. We not all clean our bags with fresh water, zippers stop working after a while.
6. Designated pocket for wax so I have a good excuse to use that. Now everything gets waxed up.

Very interested in this wave kite. When is it ready, when can I get a demo here in Indo?

Grtz Jeroen

Thanks Mr.jeroenbali for all your important inputs. But when you say "Keep it light" I think that might be a small problem. I want the SURF kite to be as strong as possible "bullet proof" strong so it doesn't get destroyed by the waves and by keeping it light it will be hard to make strong.

Dimitri, ask the guys who will be riding your kite what they think is more important:

a) a light kite with great flying characteristics
b) an overly reinforced bullet proof kite

I bet you most would chose A.

jeroenbali I totally understand your point and personally I choose A also but again customers want their kite to be strong. The best performance will come from a light weight kite that's for sure but for endurance you need a kite that is well reinforced. The RACER kites for example are very light weight and same thing with the INFINITY V3 kite.

The shape looks very weird. Havent seen a shape like it before.
