Rules in Aruba - what's the latest?

Postby KevinD » Fri Apr 26, 2013 6:37 pm

Aruba is cheap and looks like a fun flat water spot with hotels near by.

Main question is - I've been reading about fisherman's and it seems that many people say there is a ban from kitesurfing from 10 am to 5 pm. Is this ban still in effect?

If the ban is no longer going on. I think I could probably deal with the gusts at Fisherman's. How far of a walk is fisherman's from most hotels? Which hotel would be best to stay at and also cheap?

I was in Aruba this past January on a kite vacation for a week. Had a great time. Kiting every day until too tired to continue. Great island and great people, very consistant wind :thumb: . There no longer seem to be any rules restricting kiting at the Huts. The gusts at the Huts really do suck. Best advice is to rent a car and drive to Boca Grande daily for great side shore trade wind with non gusty conditions.
