PKRA: Next 3 events are set for Turkey, Italy and Spain
Burn Kitesurf World Cup June 19th-23rd.
On June 19th the PKRA will start the second Slalom event of the season in Turkey on Burc Beach near Istanbul. This will be the second year that the PKRA is in Turkey, this year with a slalom-racing event. The past year the winds of Burc beach provided a perfect venue for racing and freestyle. The Slalom racing takes place on the Black Sea that gets a thermal wind every day or a front will come through to give the competitors winds up to 30 knots. A PKRA Kitemasters freestyle competition will also take place during the event with great prize money for the top 6. For more information click HERE.
After one slalom event in Mexico and 6 more to come throughout the world, the season will be amazing. After 7 events an ISAF-IKA Slalom world champion will be crowned. If you missed some the action in Mexico make sure you look at the race videos and event videos.
Top riders from all over the world like Bryan Lake and the 2012 Slalom world champion Julien Kerneur will be there. With Slalom racing, the action is intense form the start to the finish every race.
Freestyle Kitesurf World Cup Marsala 2013-June 25th-30th.
The 3rd PKRA freestyle stop will be in Marsala, Sicily in Italy from the 25th of June through the 30th. The small town of Marsala famous for its wine is slowly getting to be known as a top European kitesurfing destination. The lagoons of Marsala get a nice 15-25 knot thermal every afternoon with 28 degree water temperature. The water is nice and flat, perfect for freestyle. With the freestyle battle heating up with Alex Pastor taking a commending point’s lead and the return of Aaron Hadlow the season is getting more exciting every event. Kiteboarding IKA/PKRA Freestyle Junior World Championships
The first ever IKA/PKRA freestyle JR world championships will be held in San Pere Pescador, Spain from the 2nd of july through the 7th. This will be a great way for young kids to compete against the best juniors in the world and win a world Championship title. San Pere Pescador is a great place to kitesurf, having held many international events over the years it is very fitting that the new generation of young kitesurfers get to battle for a world title on this famous strip of Costa Brava.
