Which ronix boots for kiting

Postby speedyRider » Mon Aug 05, 2013 7:01 pm

Ok, im going to get some boots. Tried the divide from Ronix 5-6 times, liked it but now they will give me a new pair of boots, only from Ronix.

There are so many models...i dont know how to choose.
It will be only for kiting (no cable).
I have an intermediate level, i can do surface passes to blind, and to wrapped, unhooked rotations and loops, etc, no air passes yet.

Price doesnt matter.
What about size, same as shoe? a bit bigger?

Help me choose :)

Ronix One. I think these are the best for kiting. Regarding size, some will tell you to get one number bigger or same as your shoes number. If you can try it first that will do it.

well as I said, "it's about oppinion". All those boots are great, and it all comes down to personal choice. Have a look at the pro. and you will see that most of them ride on ronix One. That should tell you something.

it's all about what you want, both of my friends have the ronix parks (2012 and 2013) and they're way too low cut and flexy for me, I like really stiff boots.

definitely size up, I wear size 9 to 9.5 US shoes and size 10 ronix boots are snug. I'd probably get size 10s.

Thing is being unexperienced with boots i do not know what i want, if i want them stiffer or softer.
What are the cons and advantages of one to another in terms of kiting? Do you need a stiffer or softer boot for our kiting needs? what about easy in and out?

I guess the weight is really not an issue with any ronix model as i heard they are all very light.
I would sacrifice a bit performance for being a little more confortable while riding/landing etc

Softer has less ankle support but allows for more movement in the boots. Easier to press and tech out on rails and get grabs.

Stiff more ankle support.

In the end it's all about personal preference. Plus how they are when you get them will change after they are broken in. The durability of Ronix boots are something they do lack. They are the lightest and the most comfortable out there though.

I could be wrong but I believe the One is the stiffest and the Parks are the softest
