Maybe this clip gives the answer to what is possible and not.
I'd say it's about line length and they do look short here. Yes, short lines gives more power in the loop but also shortens the time for the kite to travel to zenith since a shorter radius obviously decreases the circumference.

the vid from g00se it´s what i see as a sick kiteloop. but not a megaloop

this is the problem with the lack of a proper definition on what is what - if i call a dog to a fox, others a dog to a wolf in no time we will be having a dumb conversation if we start to discuss fauna.

And re-reading just realize we would be both wrong. lol

Yeah, that's about as close as you can get on a 12m!

legit! one of the comments says 18m so lines aren't super short not like 10m or 15m lines. Can't tell what size that north vegas is, either a 10m or 12m? definitely a megaloop. Don't try this at home kids.

ok, legit. but there is a difference for those made by Ruben when he goes so high that actually has the time to down-loop the kite before landing. in my eyes it´s a different level
(well, different wind conditions to start of)

Mega starts at what? like 25 knots something like that. Looping in 20 is still sick, but looping in 15 gets decidedly more tame.

Yeah thats Ned - an old video but Level line megaloop off flatwater....

On the other side of 'The Pond' (pictured) theres a sandbar that kicks up knee to chest height ramps which we do the same but higher on 20m lines...
In the Summer, its common to see that and all sorts of things goin on between there and Woodies - a lot of tourists hang there, and sometimes I see the guys Ive been jumping with - in the kitemag spreads or team vids...

Lets Hope that Ruben makes a No Comprimise Balls to the wall Megaloop Kite :party1:

Sorry guys but to make a REAL megaloop you must be on 9m or less and over 30 knots and short lines doesnt count(never saw Ruben doing them with shorter than 18m)....people say that they look identical and boring...well as i say if my grandma had balls could make even a single on   but every megaloop can kill you....this is me crashing with 77km/h from 10m+ cause i used an extra second to decide for a downloop or a kiteloop :shake:
