With all the kooky stuff RichardM has posted the last couple of days I'm starting to think he's perpetuating some kind of inside joke and making us all look like fools. You win, Richard, well played.

If government can ram something major down our throats even though a majority are against it, they could easily force a law on a small minority (kiters) even if nobody in the general public was for it. Anything to "lower health care costs" will be in their sights.

I've had two great, solid sessions in a row, and even Richard M's rantings don't bother me.

Not surprised the least, considering that even kiteriders (or is it just kiteforum posters?) are in great numbers for wearing a helmet at all time.

There is not necessarily ANY correlation between advocating for helmet use and advocating for a LAW requiring helmet use.
For example, I am always advocating for helmet USE, however I'm adamantly OPPOSED to a LAW requiring it. The closest I come in this regard is to advocate that CERTIFICATION ORGS such as the IKO should REQUIRE that their certified INSTRUCTORS wear helmets whenever they kite in order to maintain certification.

I think there may be only a handful of kite instructors left in the world if this happened.
Sooo funny how some don't want politics in kitesurfing but are willing to forget that while campaigning for kiting in the olympics - the mighty $$$! Ask anyone involved at the top level of an new Olympic sports if the sport became more far more political and get back to me.
