According to this breaking news story TODAY...14 out of 20 people supported the draconian measure that would make it a LAW to REQUIRE a helmet when WALKING[/b].
Not surprised the least, considering that even kiteriders (or is it just kiteforum posters?) are in great numbers for wearing a helmet at all time.
There is not necessarily ANY correlation between advocating for helmet use and advocating for a LAW requiring helmet use.
For example, I am always advocating for helmet USE, however I'm adamantly OPPOSED to a LAW requiring it. The closest I come in this regard is to advocate that CERTIFICATION ORGS such as the IKO should REQUIRE that their certified INSTRUCTORS wear helmets whenever they kite in order to maintain certification.
