The fastest way is to put it in a cup of 'hot' water and let it soak for 5 minutes - then roll n tap all angles with hammer - use pliers - it comes out easy.
Never had a line break doing it like this...

Had a small tight knot in an old line that I thought I'd never be able to get out. Ran the knot under hot water to soften the plastic line(and lubricate it); then tapped the knot with a hammer. Instantly undid the knot. Couldn't believe it.

So anyone with a knot in your line; that method absolutely works. Thanks!

I agree hammer is the most effective technique, 5 min and your done. Nothing else worked for me. Don't waste your time, just get the hammer
