Easter Island kiting - When to go?

Postby Osprey1 » Fri Nov 01, 2013 10:57 pm

Putting together a trip to Easter Island in the next couple of years. I have a friend whom lives there now and he says they surf often but it's rocky. No info on kiting though:

1) Can you kite on Easter Island?
2) When is the best time to go?

i got a funny story about easter island. My friend jumped off a yacht just as he arrived there (in the country on the boat before setting foot on land) into the lineup and begged a local to get a wave on his boards. The local was cool and let him get a wave on his supreme boards. He dropped in and immediately snapped it in half.. He sorted them out but its damn funny! I'll ask him if he kited there, i dont think so though.. Try a french polynesia kite forum eg tahiti..
