Postby windfreak » Tue Nov 05, 2013 4:52 pm

Hi guys, i am looking for a hi-wind surfboard (i wgt 98 kg) to ride over 20 kts,i have read about kontact ,seen a couple of magnum, tyrant, but none of the bigger size (over 6 feet)didn t demo any of them or others,so what do you ride or recommend, i am looking for good acceleration ,fast, smooth in chops, not tooo difficult to jibe(still need to practice), stable, not too fragile (i like jumping )etc.I want a good board to continue to progress ,riding in big chops, small to big waves ,mostly on shore wind.Winds starting from 20 to 40 kts :o Thanks for your advice! :thumb:

I would add the Naish Global to this list. Ticks all those boxes plus construction wise it is one of the most durable production kite surfboards (at least 2012 and 2013 were. They further developed construction for 2014, but I do not know how this holds up).

You can jump these old school hooked in whithout too much to worry. However, that is my experience with 75 kg of weight.
