I can't say much about the rpm because I've never tried that specific slingshot kite. But I have been riding north since when I started kiting 5 years ago. I've tried many other brand's kites and boards but non compare to North, hence why I still buy North gear year after year and have a smile that you can't wipe off my face! I rode the 2014 Vegas the other day and it is really sweet! Solid Kiteloops, great pop, awesome slack, amazing C kite! That would be my choice!

Cheers,

Mr Dave is you think you are ready for a much 'more' C kite, then yeh demo the vegas. Of course even the vegas isnt a fuel or a torch, but it is a step up from the RPM in that discipline anyhow.

Try a few though. Consider the C4 as well. If you are kind of freestyling more with some freeride in there then there is the cabrhina chaos as well.

if you think to buy a Vegas try it ! ...because the way it fly and the feeling is totally different compare to the RPM ! The RPM is not at all a c kite (execpt from slingshot marketing).

About C4 i don t know because i have only tested the 2011 in 7m.....and for me it is not a good kite for unhooked freestyle (in this size)....way to fast, and big surge of power when you unhook.

I have a Vegas for freestyle kite looping and unhooked tricks, but for big air I ride the Switchblade. The Edge is another big air kite. BTW, I learned to ride on the RPM.

the vegas is much better in getting upwind.
the rpm doesn´t pull so hard when letting go the bar in suicide mode.
the vegas sometimes tangles the lines in 5. line mode.
