Wainman bar question

Postby salvino » Wed Nov 13, 2013 4:14 pm

I love my wainman 9 and 7.5 kites! My concern is the bar----chicken loop

If safety is released at chicken loop and leash is on suicide or center line, the actual chicken loop would be completely separate from all lines. It would remain "hooked in" on harness AS LONG AS donkey dick is holding it there.

Question. How should I address this?
Do I run leash thru chicken loop on its way to where it gets attached?

I worry this seems congested. But I worry getting in a situation where safety is pulled and then no chicken loop remaining to reset!

Let me know any info. I'm starting to use RRD bar on wainman kites til I feel comfortable

Similar in design to the Liquid Force CPR release on the 2010 and newer bars.

I do as you suggested and run my leash through the chicken loop. I don't really unhook at all when I am riding, so not an issue for me. I could see it getting in the way of things if you are hooking and unhooking regularly.

if you have 2 bars you could always attach the other chicken loop to the back of ur harness for a spare, if you drop the original use your spare, then kite around till u find the dropped one and pick it up cause it floats. maybe not the best option, but its an option. :-?
