wind on Kona

Postby madmax7 » Fri Dec 06, 2013 7:02 pm

So I am in Kona and the NWest side has almost no wind

But there is some in The NE, by Upolu point and I brought my 17 m to try out

Is there a beach up on the NE side to launch?

Thanks Max

Not many kiters on Big island...why... no wind
But there might be a better chance to find info via facebook
The few I know who kite and live on Big Island are there...more then here on KF
..ps: no wind here either..

I can understand on the leeward side...
Oahu had trade winds every day...every day....cant imagine you wont find it on the big island windward side...

wind are slow this time of year. Kona winds blowing on shore are few and in between. Trade winds blow off shore at Kona. Need to drive to other side of Island, Hilo.
Next Tuesday and Wednesday trades will be back for a short time.
